AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Class
Would you like to have a dog that is an excellent member of the community because it has been trained to be well behaved at home, in public and around other dogs? Then our AKC Canine Good Citizen class is perfect for you! Join in as we train dogs and their handlers to pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test.
Students will need to have completed a Basic Obedience class or demonstrate that their dog knows some basic obedience including Stays to take part in the class. The goal for the six-week class is to train the dogs above the testing level required to pass the CGC test through a variety of skills exercises. With class size limited to four-five students, you and your dog will receive the individualized attention you need and deserve to set you and your dog up to pass the CGC Test. Testing will take place after the six weeks of class is completed and is included in the registration fee.
Training for the AKC CGC Test items will cover:
Tractor Supply, DuBois PA
Date: Sunday, September 2024
Time: 5:00 PM weekly
Class Length: 6 weeks
Cost: $97

Please Note: All dogs are required to be up to date with Rabies and Distemper/Parvo vaccinations.

- Sitting politely for petting
- Appearance and grooming
- Out for a walk
- Walking through a crowd
- Sit and down command/Staying in place
- Coming when called
- Reaction to another dog
- Reaction to distraction
- Supervised separation
