AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Class
Would you like to get your puppy started off on the right paw to becoming a fabulous family dog? Do you need help with puppy training basics? Are you aware of what ways are most effective to teach your pup? Get the answers to these questions and much, much more with your enrollment in the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Class where you will learn all about puppy training and start the socialization your pup needs. Classes are taught in a way that is positive, educational, and fun! (no prong, choke collars, etc.) With class size limited to six students, you and your pup will receive the individualized attention you need and deserve while still getting lots of socialization. All breeds and mixes accepted in class!!!
To become a S.T.A.R., all puppies need the necessary components of the Puppy Class including Socialization, Training, Activity, and a Responsible Owner. The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Class includes the following:
As part of the class, puppies and owners will tested on various items throughout the six weeks of class with final testing occurring on the sixth night. With successful completion of the test items, the owner will receive a beautiful frame-able certificate, listing in the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy database, an AKC Puppy Handbook, a discount to enroll in Companion Animal Recovery Corporation, and the monthly newsletter Your AKC. (Note: There is an additional $10 fee payable to the AKC to register for the previously listed items.)
Puppies are not required to be registered with the AKC to attend class and receive their AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy designation.
